Role: Learning Mentor (14-16)
Location: Huntingdon, PE29 1BL
Salary: £11,905 - £12,618 per annum
30 hours per week (4 days : Monday to Thursday), Term Time only (38 weeks)

Do you have experience of working with 14-16 year old learners within an alternative provision?
Do you have the ability to engage with learners?
Do you have the knowledge of strategies for establishing and developing mentoring support for learners?

The 14-16 team at The College are seeking to appoint a permanent Learning Mentor to assist 14 to 16 year old learners in gaining maximum benefit from the curriculum. You will be required to support learners in acquiring skills that will enable them to gain the competencies and qualifications required to progress to employment or further training and also provide support in the delivery of teaching and learning. The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with young people who experience barriers to learning, within the classroom environment as well as outside projects.

You will need to be qualified in Literacy and Numeracy to Level 2 or equivalent. PTTLS and/or a learning support qualification is desirable but not essential.
