Market Risk Business Analyst

My client, a leading Investment Bank, is looking for a Market Risk BA with a strong background, working to deliver a new Market Risk Infrastructure with the aim of replacing existing Market Systems and process and proving a single scaleable and versatile production process within the business function.

Responsibilities:

- Building the business requirements to a comprehensive standard by working with business and development colleagues, Production Team and Risk Managers, analysing their requirements and documenting them.

- Defining and executing the testing plan, raising defects and working with the Technical Stream of the programme to solve problems/defects.

- The Analyst must form an effective working relationship with the Business Analysts, stakeholders and Developers.

- Function of role will involve the gathering of user requirements by interacting with Risk Management or via running workshops and to produce business specifications and business models to meet the requirements using the most appropriate approaches and techniques.

Candidate Requirements:

- 4-7 years of working experience in an Investment Bank and previous experience in Risk Management or Product Control Familiarity with the project Management or Software Development Life Cycle.

- Experience with Market Risk controls and processes.

- Sound Market Risk Management knowledge/experience

- VaR, Risk Sensitivities and Stress Testing.

- MS Excel - Expert user, including writing Macros.

- Comprehensive understanding of financial products and their corresponding risk.
