Title: Support Worker
Location: Blackburn with Darwen
Salary: 6.50ph - 7.10ph
Job Details: Olive Tree Domiciliary Services Ltd provide a domiciliary care service to a range of adults with learning disabilities. providing support to individuals within their own homes, both on a practical and personal care level, which enables them to maintain their own independence and lifestyle.
Olive Tree also support individuals to access activities within their local community and help them to meet new people and encourage them to expand their social network.
Olive Tree require Support workers in the Blackburn and Darwen area. Experience is not necessary as full training will be provided. The successful applicant will meet the following criteria - Support and promote individuals with learning disabilities to independently access a full and varied timetable of activities and general aspects of daily life. Able to demonstrate the ability to work independently. Can empathise with the needs and wishes of the service users. Can demonstrate a mature outlook towards their work and responsibilities. Can act as an appropriate role model to the group of service users they are supporting. Can respond appropriately when faced with challenging behaviours.
Successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced DBS disclosure. Disclosure expense will be met by applicant. Applicants will be required to work on a flexible rota basis including evenings and weekends.
