Job Description

This role is integral to the existing Audit team, supporting Essex and Suffolk based clients from Scrutton Bland's Colchester and Ipswich offices.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing an external Audit Service to owner-managed businesses, UK subsidiaries of international listed groups and the not-for-profit sector

• Working as part of a team and assisting in the planning, execution and completion of the audit work

• The majority of the audit work will be based at clients' locations, within Suffolk and North Essex

• Assisting in special projects, advising clients on a broad range of issues relevant to their businesses

Additional Senior responsibilities:

• Responsibility for the planning, execution and completion of work on time and to budget

• Leading teams of 5 both in the office and on-site in a client facing role

• Supervising and developing junior staff members to ensure that the firms standards are maintained

• Working closely with a Manager to meet client and professional development targets

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will be an experienced Auditor, ideally from a Top 50 firm, with at least 2 years experience in Audit in a Practice environment. There are opportunities for qualified staff in either ACCA/ACA, and you will need to be able to demonstrate success in a client facing role, with experience of supervising junior staff and for a senior role, leading Audits from planning through to review.

Essential skills include:

Strong audit experience within Practice.
The ability to build client relationships on-site and with a team.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
