Senior Support Analyst

Capita are currently recruiting for a 2nd Line Support Analyst in Solihull, Birmingham. Capita are the UK's largest Business Process Outsourcer with over 65,000 employees, and 350 different sites. This role, is working directly in Capita Software Services who are the leading supplier of software solutions to the public sector and social housing market place.

The Analyst will have experience in working directly with customers to help resolve issues primarily in 2nd Line Support. The individual must have experience in SQL, Unix and Shell Scripting within a multi-platform environment. It is essential that the candidate has experience of supporting a variety of software and bespoke applications.

We are seeking an individual that will develop and maintain a professional relationship with our customers and can demonstrate an excellent telephone manner; communicating clear and concise instructions to customers to assess/solve cases.

Given the wide range of products and services available to our customers, we are seeking an individual that is keen to learn and quick to pick up new skills. It is essential that the analyst can demonstrate that they are flexible and adaptable to change.

Essential Experience/Skills
* A minimum of 3 years commercial experience in support
* Analytical approach to problem solving
* Experience of Solaris administration
* Solaris and Linux network administration knowledge
* Experience of RDBMS (eg Sybase) and SQL
* Experience of working on multiple platforms including Solaris and Linux
* Ability to liaise directly with customers
* Self-motivated individual who is results focused
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Flexible to respond to ongoing customer and business demands
* Ability to work well under pressure, prioritising cases to meet SLA's
