Scope
Skilled Java developer wanted to join a small dynamic agile development team. The team are responsible for delivering a large high profile project within the organisation in a forward thinking area of the bank.

Mastering complex business domain
Designing and developing Server Side components and distributed systems
Collaborating within a high-performing, delivery-focussed team across disciplines
Job Requirements
Required
Experienced software engineer with expertise across the Java platform, including:
o Data structures and algorithms
o Collections
o Multi-threading and concurrency utilities
o Memory management and garbage collection
o Open-source libraries, frameworks and tooling including Spring and Apache offerings
Applied experience of:
o Internet architecture and REST API design
o Agile/Lean Development
o Build, Test and Deployment Automation
o Relational and NoSQL databases
Preferable
It would be beneficial for you to have:
o Technical writing or presentations visible on the Internet
o Fluency with one or more other programming languages
o Experience working with Front End developers, quality analysts and product manager
Beneficial to have experience in:
o J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML, Java), WebSphere, Solaris, Oracle, Unix
o XML over MQ and WebServices
o Network topologies (security zones, load balancers, reverse proxies)
o Security cryptography
o Spring, Hibernate and JPA
Competencies
Highly motivated
Delivery focussed with a track record of successful applications in production
A great communicator and team player
Preferably with experience working in the banking/FS industry but not essential
Qualifications
Relevant degree or equivalent
