A leading international law firm based in London.

Description

The IT Systems Administrator must havea background in major server and desktop virtualisation technologies, on top of an extensive understanding in designing, configuring, and administering WAN/LAN/WLAN networking. Ideally the successul candidate will come from the legal sector.

The candidate will:

1) have a background in designing and maintaining infrastructural elements of the latest virtualisation technologies
2) have expertise of working in a customer support environment within professional services firms (ideally, but not necessarily within law firms or chambers) and understand the specific challenges and requirements involved of working in an intellectually challenging environment
3) support users in a high pressure professional services environment
4) be resilient, focused and able to meet tight deadlines
5) need to have excellent interpersonal skills and able to manage good working relationships with staff and understand the demands of the law firm partners (barristers and solicitors

Profile

The IT Systems Administrator will require a competitive understanding of the following areas:

1) VMware vSphere and all related components such as vCenter, High Availability, and Fault Tolerance in vSphere 5.0 - 5.5
2) Enterprise storage solutions such as NAS, FC and iSCSI SANs and their integration with VMware system through the use of proprietary SAN OS, ie EMC and HP
3) Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, Group Policy 2008-2012
4) Exchange (2010-2013) along with specific server roles and High Availability options
5) Citrix XenApp 6.0 - 7.5; Terminal Services environments and desktop virtualisation
6) LAN/WAN/WLAN/VLAN: Routers, Firewalls, Switches eg Cisco (Meraki preferred), Cabling, Patch Panels
7) Backup, Replication and clustering technologies, Disaster Recovery implementation at various levels
8) VOIP systems, ie ShoreTel.
9) Private and Public Cloud networking
10) Windows 7, 8, 8.1 client OS
11) Microsoft Office Suite support 2007-2013
12) Blackberry (BES), Apple, Android mobile technologies

Job Offer

My client is willing to offer up to GBP60,000 for the successful Systems Administrator.
