The Senior Network Delivery Engineer will be focussed on project deliverable to both clients and internal customers, and requires an in depth knowledge of a wide range of IT technologies, network services & systems.

This role adds value by implementing to common standards, systems and hardware that are consistently stable, reliable and which deliver business benefits. The role also feeds in to the IT delivery strategy by providing expertise and advice to Senior stakeholders.

The Senior Network Delivery Engineer will work closely with the Technical Design Authority group (TDA's) to ensure low level designs are viable and can be implemented.
CCM is a process driven ITIL and PCI DSS governed environment, so strong adherence to change management processes and other security principles is requires.

The points below are not an exhausted list, cover the main aspects of the role:

* Plan and manage network delivery requirements for requiring VPN, LAN,WAN & Firewall technologies
* Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff and users as appropriate
* Ensure adherence to policies, standards and Technical controls.
* Follow and adhere to and update standard build documentation and create documentation as and where required to the company standards
* Manage and engage with third party suppliers as required
* Liaise with IT Service & Operations teams and clients where necessary to verify technical solutions and ensure the successful integration and handover of network deliverables into support.
* Be able to adapt, flex and change to meet new and conflicting work priorities at short notice

This role operates within an office environment but could also involve manual or physical activity around IT hardware and Comms Rooms. As such it is expected that the jobholder will be aware of comply with company rules and guidelines with respect to manual handling and risk assessment.

Essential Experience/Skills:

* Experience of diagnosing and delivering IT solutions
* Excellent oral & written English (Must be confident to communicate clearly to IT management and other business stakeholders)
* Excellent Problem solving skills
* Be able to operate independently, with minimal support from management teams
* Broad & extensive technical skills
* 'Can do attitude' - highly energetic and focussed on right time, first time delivery
* Willingness to take ownership of problems
* Knowledgeable of various technical and non-technical documentation types
* Expected to work in a structured and controlled manner
* Technical expertise in IP Networks
* An understanding of the purpose of Firewalls in a multi client data centre environment
* Experience of Firewall technologies and their respective management platforms
* Experience in producing support documentation for handover to Operations teams
* Education to BTEC (or higher) in relevant discipline
* Proven IT experience in a commercial environment
* Experience of Support and Build
* Proven track record of working experience in a similar position

* Understands regulatory/compliancy issues and the impact to clients/customers
* Able to handle pressure, but know when to challenge and escalate appropriately.
* Has a fresh approach in defining and delivering technical solutions
* Knowledgeable on modern techniques and tools required to deliver solutions for new and existing clients
* Awareness of security standards (PCI DSS, ISO270001)
* Professional qualification or certification with a relevant vendor
* CCNA/CCIE/CCNP
* ITIL v3 desirable

* A valid UK driving license
