Risk and Compliance Manager

Capita are currently recruiting for a Risk and Compliance Manager to be based in Bristol. Capita are the UK's largest business process outsourcer with over 65,000 employees in over 350 sites. In this role in particular, you will be working as part of the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) business.

As the Compliance Manager, you will be the SME in compliance, responsible for providing support and direction in compliance matters, principally for project and change initiatives, but including all elements of IT Services.

Ideally you will have worked in an IT outsourcing or financial organisation. You will be working with projects and change initiatives to ensure that delivered solutions are compliant whilst being able to support the business operations, change initiatives and bids to ensure that all applicable compliance requirements are identified and managed. You will also be consistent interpretation of Group and client Information Security policies and standards, coupled with a focus on ensuring that compliance is fully evidenced throughout the process.

Qualifications in the arena extremely desirable such as, ISO series (9001, 27001, 20000, 22301, 14001, 18000 etc.)

You will have practical experience of working with and influencing teams where team members work on different sites and for different clients, and you will own the continuous improvement process.

Technical Skills

Microsoft Office (including Excel & Word)

Report writing

Facilitation skills

Gap analysis to formal compliance requirements

Demonstrable practical understanding of the application of technical controls sufficient to carry out IT audits.
