Your key responsibilities will be:
- Manage the implementation of service changes into the BDUK production environment via the BDUK Pre-Production environment, in doing so;
- The IM will adhere to the BDUK Project Delivery Method and deliver the relevant artefacts to support the approval of the change at various gate reviews.
- The IM will sponsor the change through the Production Readiness Review, - The IM will be responsible for transitioning the change from implementation to sustained service in conjunction with the BDUK Service Transition Manager and in accordance with BDUK Service Management policy.
- The IM will liaise with the BDUK Environments Manager to ensure the implementation is coordinated/deconflicted with other changes and will ensure that the environment configuration supports the implementation.
- The IM will liaise with the BDUK Release Manager to ensure all relevant release management processes are adhered to.
- Produce and manage a detailed implementation plan for each change.
- Produce a detailed cutover schedule or release plan for each change and will manage the prosecution of the schedule on service cutover day(s); supported by the BDUK Release Manager.
- Identify and manage the relationships required with all stakeholders relevant to the implementation ensuring that all processes and policies are followed with respect to customer and supplier relationships.
- Identify all support needs required throughout the implementation phase and put in place the relevant arrangements/contracts with the customer, BDUK managers and suppliers; supplier liaison will be supported by BDUK Supply Chain Management (SCM).
- Be able to identify and manage risks, issues and opportunities.
- Be able to communicate clearly to all levels of staff including senior managers.
- Produce reports and any other project deliverables as requested by the project manager.
Qualifications and experience
- Have a good knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware and Services Oriented Architecture.
- Have a good knowledge of ITIL v3 especially the configuration management of items.
- Have demonstrable experience in managing technical projects using Matrix-managed resources and be able to manage all factors that contribute to delivering a project to time, quality and cost.
- Have demonstrable experience in the amalgamation of COTS software products into packages of capability and the deployment of such packages.
