Social Worker - Assessment & Intervention - Sunderland
CRG Social care are currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join an Assessment and Intervention team based in Sunderland, you will be joining an established team and dealing with all referrals. Conducting initial assessments and section 47 Child Protection investigations.
This position is a temporary 2-3 month contract, you will be holding all open cases of ongoing family support and children subject to a child protection plan, you will initiate care proceedings and be responsible for the initial care planning of children when they first become looked after. You will be under the general supervision of a senior practitioner or team manager, and the overall aim is to deliver an effective social work service to children and families, which is informed by current research, legislation and policy.
Key Responsibilities -
- Manage a caseload of service users
- Assessing needs,
- Carry out Initial and core assessments
- Co-ordinating support packages as necessary.

Requirements:
You must have a relevant Social Work qualification (BA / MA Social Work / DipSW or equivalent), be professionally registered with HCPC certification; and be eligible to work in the UK.
