About the role: 

We have an exciting career opportunity available for Deli Manager. As Deli Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the Deli is run in an efficient and professional manner, providing exceptional service at all times.

The top ten things that you will be doing each week:

• Leading the Deli team and acting as a role model, demonstrating the highest level of customer service.

• Developing and implementing a training plan for the department.

• Ensuring all stock procedures are followed including (but not limited to) accurate completion of monthly stock takes, full replenishment of stock, control of wastage, stock rotation and daily transfers.

• Planning staffing needs and compiling rotas which reflect our anticipated trade in line with the budget whilst ensuring the holiday phasing plan is followed, taking into account key trading times and period end stock takes.

• Ensuring presentation standards are maintained and the shop cleaning rota is actioned daily with a deep clean on a weekly basis.

• Working in accordance with the Food Safety Act, health and safety regulations and The Licensing Act.

• Ensuring that all legal requirements are met, including (but not limited to) temperature checks and cleaning schedules.

• Ensuring systems and procedures are completed accurately and on time, including time and attendance, wages and cash up procedures.

• Maintaining relationships with nominated suppliers (both internal and external) by being courteous and treating them as partners, while at the same time ensuring that deliveries are intact, of the correct quantities and are made at the correct temperature (if applicable).

• Assisting the Retail Trading Manager with staff coverage across the retail team and providing additional support in the absence of the Retail Trading Manager.

The Seafood Restaurant opened  in 1975. Since then the business has grown to include another three restaurants in Padstow, well as a pub in St Merryn and restaurants in Falmouth and Porthleven. They also have a cookery school, 40 guest bedrooms, 4 self catering properties, a deli, patisserie, fishmongers and gift shop all in and around the pretty harbour village of Padstow. In Autumn 2014 they also opened their first restaurant outside of Cornwall, in Winchester.
