Our client enables people with learning disabilities, mental health issues and complex needs to have their voice heard. They require an IMCA (Independent Mental Capacity Advocate) to work across their services in Liverpool and Sefton, with a willingness to cover services across the organisation. The ability to travel is essential to this post.
You will provide an Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy role for eligible people subject to the Mental Capacity Act. You will provide statutory advocacy in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 for people who lack capacity or experience periods of incapacity.
The preference is for a fully qualified IMCA, but full training to achieve the relevant modules of the Independent Advocacy qualification is also an option for the right candidate. Experience of advocacy and working in health and social care is essential.
