Michael Dyson Associates Ltd is an established, successful and prominent multi-disciplinary construction consultancy providing a comprehensive range of professional services to the housing sector. Established in 1980 we have over three decades of wide ranging experience working with clients throughout the UK.

Requirements
• Construction or marketing related qualifications or similar evidence of competence within our sector.
• A strong background in bid writing, preferably in the social housing sector.
• Experience of consultant and contractor led services to the social housing sector.
• Relevant experience in sales and bid management.

The role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within, and help in the continuing development of, a well-established and successful Business Development Team. This is a key role for an experienced and self-motivated professional with excellent relationship skills and bid writing experience from inception to completion. The successful applicant may already be at a senior bid writer level or seeking the next stage in their career progression; notwithstanding this they must be able to write persuasive bids in support of new business activity including information and document compilation which captures the use of industry best practice. The applicant will need to be flexible, developing their outputs to align with our requirements.

The person
The ideal candidate for this position must possess the following attributes:
• The ability to produce innovative, client specific proposals and write technical responses to tender questions relating to various professional disciplines.
• Excellent research skills with an eye for opportunity.
• IT proficiency, particularly MS Word, MS PowerPoint along with working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access .
• Be commercially astute with an understanding of the financial, legal and contractual aspects of tendering.
• The drive to win, delivering high quality submissions whilst benchmarking performance against feedback.
• The ability to understand social housing terminology, delivery methods and the current issues influencing our sector.
• Have the ability to work to very tight deadlines.
