Randstad Education are seeking a qualified teacher with experience of teaching Media Studies to students within an alternative education environment.
The ideal candidate will have relevant and recent experience working within a challenging yet highly rewarding environment. You may be looking for the next step out of mainstream education into special education.
Our client is looking for a flexible teacher who's main role is to teach Media. This environment requires excellent behaviour management skills, flexibility, a willingness to commit, able to establish strong and effective working relationships with students quickly and an ability to create, deliver and assess interesting and engaging lessons.
The School is a creative environment but face different challenges on a daily basis making the environment interesting and forever changing, no 2 days are the same. Job satisfaction is rewarded to staff by providing life changing outcomes to students, this is achieved by delivering education to small groups enabling individual tailored learning.
The Job
You will be required to plan and deliver lessons aimed at children who are no longer based within mainstream education for a number of different reasons.
You will be required to use tried and tested de-escalation strategies on a daily basis to ensure a calm teaching environment enabling students to focus on their learning.
The successful candidate must have qualified teacher status (QTS) and will be required to work on a full time basis Monday to Friday excluding school holidays. You must have recent teaching experience within the UK and be able to offer reference details to document your recent success.
