Field Service Engineer

Service Engineer £27k - £30k + Overtime and Fully Expensed Van.  

Our Client is a leader in the design and supply of gas detection equipment for a wide range of industrial applications.

They are now looking for a Service Engineer to join their team.  

The Role will be field based around the M25 / M4 / M40 junction area. Duties will include but not necessarily limited to Service and commissioning of the full range of Fixed and Portable Gas Detection equipment, mostly within the UK but with occasionally overseas duties a possibility.   It would be preferred if candidates have previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, with an electrical bias. Ideally you will have exposure with 17th Edition and / or previous instrumentation calibration experience. Candidates should be PC literate and conversant with Windows programmes such as Excel and Word. A comprehensive training programme, covering our full product range and attendance on third party safety related courses will be arranged.  

The position of Service Engineer requires a flexible approach to working hours, overnight stays away from home and substantial travel within the U.K. Applicants should be prepared to work occasional weekends as workload demands, and to undertake other occasional unsociable hours working, such as night work. Overtime is paid for work in excess of a standard 37.5 hr week, however this must be pre-authorised.  

A fully expensed company van will be provided for work use. Applicants must, therefore, have an acceptable driving history and be prepared to show their driving licence during interview. We offer a competitive salary of £27k - £30k together with other benefits, such as on-target company bonus.
