Blackpool
Salary within the range £21,543 - £23,447
Fixed Term for 12 Months
Our client is recognised as an Ofsted Outstanding provider, following inspection in October 2013. Ofsted rated the overall effectiveness of their provision, along with Outcomes for learners, Quality of teaching, learning and assessment and Effectiveness of leadership and management as Outstanding. In addition, the Quality Assurance Agency, which independently reports on the quality and standards of degree provision, awarded the College more commendations than any other university or Higher Education establishment in the UK to date when it published its report in July 2013.
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a School Liaison Officer to join the college on a fixed term contract for 12 months.
As School Liaison Officer, you will provide a comprehensive school liaison and outreach service in the College’s target areas which contributes to raising learner aspirations and meeting student recruitment targets for Further Education, Higher Education and Apprenticeships. You will also support the College at all recruitment and conversion events such as Open Days, Meet the Expert Evenings and enrolment.
In order to be successful in this position, it is essential that you have experience of working with young people in schools or FE sector. Possession of a Degree qualification would be ideal, however this is not essential.
With strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to young people from a range of backgrounds, you will also have the ability to persuade and influence.
Strong presentation skills are essential, coupled with effective administration skills and the ability to work as part of a team. The ability to work unconventional hours including a limited number of overnight out of area stop overs for UCAS events is also essential - some evening and weekend work will be required.
Closing date: 12noon, 28th November 2014
Interview date: 9th December 2014
The College is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all our learners. Successful appointment will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service and pre-employment safeguarding checks.
