Here is a great opportunity for an Accounts professional to work with us generating both Monthly Management Accounts (& everything else along the way!) and our weekly payroll (using our fantastic payroll Software) for our client base (who are all small recruitment companies).
This is an escape from the hideous World of day to day accounts and tedious routine this is a real chance to learn new skills and work as part of genuine team.
So, yep, you've guessed it - we want a dynamic, friendly, driven and professional new colleague to join our committed team, working out of our beautiful & unique office, based here in Berkhamsted (near Hemel Hempstead).
WHO IS SSG?
Since 2003, SSG has offered motivated Recruiters a FREE business launch and a fantastic 'on-going business support' facility in exchange for nothing more than a decreasing percentage of the on-going billings of the business. No fixed costs, no money up front, no surprises.
From our humble starting point back in 2003, we have been fortunate enough to have now established over 150 new Recruitment Companies for our target demographic.
We identify a suitable Recruiter. We provide a free business launch facility for that Recruiter and then we provide everything the new business requires in terms of business support:
YOUR OPPORTUNITY: ACCOUNTS SUPERSTAR!
Working closely with the existing team, you will take responsibility for the production of Monthly Management Accounts (& everything that leads up to their production invoicing, credit control, chatting, laughing, joking) for an existing client base of recruitment companies.
Even more important, you will also be responsible for running a significant weekly payroll for temporary workers using brilliant payroll software.
You will have all of the fun of working closely with your clients who look to you for practical advice, moral support and encouragement as they work hard in their own business.
At the same time, you will be supported by a great team of people at SSG who are lovely, friendly and brilliant at their jobs (I know, because they told me).
How exciting is that?!
This is a great chance to define and own the payroll process we have a significant challenge to run this payroll and want a superstar who (strangely enough!) enjoys payroll!
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED?
Obviously you need to understand the whole world of accounts but you will be particularly familiar with weekly payroll ideally using something like MERIT payroll software (or something similar) and even more ideally (if that is actually possible) in a recruitment background.
Obviously, you will also need to be able to professionally liaise with all stake holders involved in the delivery of our superstar service.
Obviously, you have to be professional, friendly, of smart appearance, dedicated & caring obviously.....
On top of all of that obvious stuff, you have to be the type of person to thrive on getting things just right, being in complete control of a process, focussed on the perfect administration of a basically human task.
This is not easy combining efficiency with real care in a genuinely empathetic way.
So, yep the best way to describe the job is Accounts with Personality! (no, dont laugh, they do exist we have a few of them ourselves!).
