Service Engineer - Food Processing

Based in Central England
ca £35k plus overtime, company vehicle and other benefits, 4 week rota including weekends

JBT FoodTech is part of a global technology solutions provider to the food processing industries. The Food Solution and Services Division (FSSD) is made up of a portfolio of brands including the globally renowned Frigoscandia and York range of chilling and freezer equipment and the Double D range of custom-built cookers, smokers and char grilling/bar marking for the food processing industry and ovens, provers and retarder provers for the baking industry. Due to our expanding customer base we are looking for experienced Service Engineers to provide installation, maintenance and upgrade support to customers, primarily on the gas cookers/smokers.

Successful candidates are likely to have:-

• A combined gas, electrical and mechanical engineering background

• COCN1 and CCP1 gas safe ACS qualifications

• Experience of commercial gas burners, combustion checks and calibration

• Familiar with Allen Bradley, Siemens and Omron PLC controls and HMI panels

• Be able to troubleshoot under pressure

• Have excellent customer service skills

• Be a self-starter who takes the initiative and who also works well as part of a wider team

• The ability to communicate technical information in an easy to understand manner

• Have a flexible approach, regular weekend working is required with occasional overseas travel

A full driving license is required. The Company’s production facilities and offices are based in Scotland, however, successful candidates will operate from a home base in Central England. Significant travel required in England and some in the rest of the UK and Europe. This is a great opportunity to join a world leader who sets the standards in this sector.
