The School

Our aim is to ensure that all students achieve their maximum potential and ensure that the Academy is an outstanding learning community.

We expect our students to work hard, behave with consideration and show respect for others. In return we offer an exciting curriculum, personalised to meet the needs of individual students. Our staff take time to develop a full understanding of the needs of each student so that they can provide effective support and challenge. We are a specialist Enterprise and Communication Academy, which means we are able to offer outstanding opportunities for students to develop the skills and knowledge essential to prepare them for their future.

All students entering the Academy are placed in small coaching groups of up to 12 students ranging from Year 7 to Year 13. This helps to ensure that each student is valued. It also places a responsibility upon the older students to encourage and support the younger members of our community.

We believe that success is built upon a strong partnership between parents, students, staff and the local community. As such we encourage all our parents to get involved actively in the life of the school. Working closely with our local communities is an important part of our work.

Our academy is sponsored by The Co-operative Group; the UK?s largest mutual business, owned by millions of members. The Co-operative?s businesses are run ethically in line with its values and principles. These values and principles form the basis of the Academy?s ethos.

Applications are welcome from NQTs and experienced staff.
