Applications are invited for a fixed-term two-year Departmental Lectureship in Law and Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government in Oxford. The starting salary for this post is from £38,511 per annum. This is a full-time post and is available from 01 January 2015 or as soon as possible thereafter.

You will teach and examine students taking the MPP, supervise MPP students, and may be required to teach on executive education short courses offered by the School. The successful candidate will contribute to the core module on Law and Public Policy, teach an option (elective) module to MPP students, and coordinate the policy skills classes on the MPP. This post will give the successful candidate the chance to contribute to the development of the School’s curriculum and experiment with innovative teaching methods. The School will support the successful candidate in observing, developing and applying best practice in teaching methods and in developing original case materials. You will also engage in assessment and university examining; participate in admissions; and engage in academic study and independent research.

You will hold a doctorate in Law and a track record of internationally excellent publications. You will have a demonstrable commitment to public policy teaching and research and demonstrable ability to contribute to curriculum development and to teach, supervise and assess high-achieving and challenging graduate students from around the world in a multi-disciplinary environment. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of people including academics, policymakers and the public.
