Essex Cares are a trusted provider working with local authorities and health partners to deliver services aimed at wellbeing, prevention and maximising independence.

The purpose of the role:

Reablement is a service which delivers a period of care and support to customers in their own homes to help prevent hospital admissions or to increase customer independence following a spell in hospital or period of ill health.

The service offers much more than standard domiciliary care; our team of support assistants, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Nurses working together with customers to develop skills and new ways of coping at home, rather than simply doing things for them. • Emotional support includes: praising and encouraging; maximising confidence; motivating; being empathetic and understanding

• The role will require you to work to a time limited Reablement plan, reporting on customer progress and contribute to regular reviews. With support, you will also identify equipment to support independent living

You will need to travel throughout an operational area, so the use of a car for work purposes is essential.

The Person:

Essex Cares is looking for caring and committed individuals willing to work as part of a team and work flexibly between the service hours of 7am-11pm 7 days a week 365 days a year.
