ICT & Media Teacher - January - 1 Term
The Job
We are looking for an ICT & I Media teacher on a full time basis from January. This position is initially for 1 term but could go permanent for the right candidate. They are looking for teachers with the ability to support their quest to continually raise standards and to provide stretch and challenge for all their learners. This post is suitable for new entrants to the profession as well as more experienced teachers. They have an excellent NQT induction programme and a commitment to professional development for all staff.
The School
This is a flourishing larger than average Academy with a sixth form, on the northern edge of Brentwood. We are popular and expanding and, as a Training School, fully committed to the professional development of all staff. The provision of sport and drama is very strong. There is a wide range of enrichment activities, particular in these areas.
The last Ofsted inspection at the school graded it as 'Requires Improvement', but they advised "the head teacher provides good leadership. She has taken decisive action and implemented a range of systems and initiatives that are beginning to drive and accelerate the improvements in behaviour, the quality of teaching and leadership and management"
The Child
The school has a wide catchment area which includes pupils from a variety of social and economic backgrounds, and the school believes in a collaborative approach to learning. They have said previously that teachers who has a real desire to get to know their pupils and form strong relationships on a pastoral level achieve the best results.
