Staff Nurse Offender Care: HMP Winchester (Central & North West London NHS Trust)

Job Role / Key Accountabilities:

For a Primary Care Staff Nurse at HMP Winchester, no two days are the same. A snapshot of some of the daily duties performed, are listed below:
- Carrying out nurse-led clinics
- Administering medication
- Administering immunisations and vaccines
- Responding to medical emergencies
- Enabling patients to improve their health by carrying out health promotion activities
Person Specification:
Interested applicants, should please consider the following requirements prior to applying for this job:
- Band 5 RMN or RGN with a minimum of 12 months post registration experience
- Practical experience of providing high quality care
- Experience of conducting risk assessments
- Keeping accurate electronic records
- Ability to treat patients with dignity and respect
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good written and verbal skills
- Willingness to undertake further training relevant to clinical area
