Release & Configuration Manager - Join a world-leading IT consultancy and thought leader within the Software Testing field.

Sogeti UK are looking for a Release & Configuration Manager to work on our client sites including some household names across a number of industry sectors, including banking, finance, insurance, defence, aerospace and media/digital.

As a Sogeti UK Release & Configuration Manager you will:

  • Ensure that change management and configuration management processes are fit-for-purpose and operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Review and communicate proposed changes to the change and configuration management processes.
  • Be responsible for the administration, maintenance and upgrade of configuration management tools and procedures.
  • Define, capture, maintain and promote accurate and up-to-date information about all of the hardware, software and related assets to ensure that systems and services can be readily developed, modified, extended and withdrawn in a safe and cost effective manner.
  • Design and implement strategies, policies, procedures, tools and techniques to capture the status of systems as built and during changes.
  • Drive account SLAs and KPIs to ensure they are met by understanding the results, identifying improvements and gaining benefits.
  • Ensure that CM adds significant value to the business and make decisions and recommendations as appropriate for changes in working practice which maximise opportunities for service and product improvement.
  • Provide a professional lead on configuration management for online services, influencing decision making, resolving complex issues with minimal assistance and providing training and support as required to drive continuous improvements in business efficiency and effectiveness.

As a Release & Configuration Manager, we're looking for:

  • Strong experience in change management, release management and version control.
  • Good general knowledge of IT infrastructure environment(s).
  • Experience of managing and collaborating with multi-disciplined teams.
  • Broad understanding and familiarity with the services provided by an IT Outsourcing organisation.
  • Knowledge of support models for IT Services teams and their interface with customers.
  • Understanding of the key roles and functions of all ITIL disciplines.
  • Superb client/customer management and communication skills.
  • ITIL Foundation Certified (Expert Level Preferable)
  • Knowledge of service management best practice or project methodologies, supported by a formal qualification, eg `ITIL` or `Prince 2`.
  • Relevant Degree or equivalent.
