TEAM MANAGER Looked After Children and Children Leaving Care Team Bournemouthbr br per hour, br br The companybr Our client s Children s social care in Bournemouth provides a range of services for children, young people and their families. br Our client have a legal duty under the Children Act 1989 to help and protect children in need. br They undertake an assessment to determine the support a family may require to promote a child or young person s health and development. br Our client also provides information on a variety of services for children and young people including information about voluntary organisations. br br They provide support and advice when a child is br In need because their family is in crisisbr In need because a parent has a disabilitybr Abused or at risk of abuse or neglectbr Lacking family support or is homelessbr Emotionally and behaviourally disturbed or in trouble with the lawbr Disabled or has a serious illnessbr Cared for away from their familybr In need of support after leaving the care of the local authority.br br Requirementsbr Professional Social Work Qualificationbr Management qualification or commitment to undertake management trainingbr br Key Skillsbr Proven post qualifying in child care field work, and family placement services, including experience at Senior Practitioner level.br Experience of supervising staff at all levelsbr Participation in Recruitment and Selection of all staffbr Child Protection workbr Relevant legislation guidance including Care Management principles, quality assurance and evidence based practice. br Performance management br Diversity issues br Positive leadership skillsbr Good analytical assessment skillsbr Supervisory and Staff development skillsbr Outcome focused planning and reviewbr Verbal and written communication skills br Performance management skillsbr Ability to manage a budgetbr Ability to motivate staff, promote best practice and performance managementbr Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesbr Ability to work as part of a teambr br Additional Resources are an Employment Business and an Employment Agency as defined within The Conduct of Employment Agencies Employment Businesses Regulations 2003.
