Our client is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Salesforce Solutions Architect to design high quality solutions in an inspiring and challenging environment.
As Salesforce Solutions Architect your main responsibilities will include:
- Engage with customers to understand their requirements, design and document the appropriate solution
- Contribute to established best practices
- Effectively manage time and people to deliver project components
- Provide status reports and raise issues on a timely basis
- Author and deliver design documents, statements of work and knowledge base articles
- Proactively identify and communicate potential issues and / or risks
- Support sales efforts by looking for opportunities to increase sales
- Lead and manage developers on a project in a team lead capacity
Essential IT and Design skills must include:
- Developing custom applications on the force.com platform, including Salesforce.com
- Sites and experience of development with the Salesforce.com API
- Integration of projects between Salesforce.com CRM and other enterprise applications, such as CRM, SFA, ERP (Oracle Applications, SAP, PeopleSoft, JDE, Baan, QAD, Siebel) from an architectural and development standpoint
- Ability to use both custom code and proprietary middle-ware applications (Cast Iron, MAGIC or Informatica)
- Software development experience using tools, such as Use Case Modelling, UML, Sequence Diagrams, Component Models & Deployment Models
- Deployments of enterprise software systems using XML, HTTP / HTTPS, Java, C++, and ASP
- EAI, middleware, or other integration experience at the enterprise level (TIBCO, webMethods, BEA WebLogic, J2EE / JMS)
- EDI, FlatFile, FTP, Secure FTP, SSL, RosettaNet, ebXML, Ariba
- Previous experience with a professional consulting organisation
- B.S. in Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
Other skills should include:
- Must be willing to take on significant travel, and on-site working as required
- Experience with project life-cycles from initiation through to closure and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer focus and consultative skills
- A track record of high performance and exceeding customer expectations
- Understand issues regarding scalability, reliability, Salesforce.com governor limits
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to develop processes and methodologies
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies
