Band 7 / Senior Physiotherapist (5 years post grad experience) to work in PAEDIATRICS Respiratory department in a private Hospital in Central London.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS POST:
To carry out accurate physiotherapy assessment, clinical diagnosis and treatment of patients with diverse clinical presentations and complex needs in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team. This will be on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
To oversee the respiratory care across inpatient paediatrics and ensure a high standard of care is maintained. This will include support to PICU services
To provide clinical supervision and facilitate the learning and development of Senior 2 staff members and therapy assistants within paediatrics.
To be responsible for the daily routine on allocated wards in conjunction with interdisciplinary team members and ensure physiotherapy responsibilities are met.
To work as an effective member of the physiotherapy and interdisciplinary team
To provide advice, guidance and information to health care professionals, carers, relatives and other non professionals in the management of patients
To participate in weekday and weekend emergency on call rotas and to help support in the formulation of the rota.
To be actively involved in supervision, education, evidence based practice and audit projects for the development of the physiotherapy service, therapy services and own personal and professional clinical practice.
To assist in identifying opportunities to improve the Physiotherapy service in order to provide the best patient care within the resources available
To undertake other duties at the request of the Therapy Manager
