Pay rate is approx 17/hr - Ltd/ Umbrella Company
3 month full time contract initially with a view to renewal- We are looking for a JNC qualified Youth Worker who is preferably DANOS trained. The post holder will be working within the local authority's youth work service delievering a range of youth work services as directed by the team manager. The service provides face to face social work which is often delivered in the evenings and at weekends and it also works with targeted groups and offers a one to one service. The post holder will be reponsible for delivering personal & social development and will also be required to complete paperwork and attend any follow up meetings for young people. The successful candidate must have recent experience in working with young people in a full time role and must hold a JNC recognised qualification in Youth Work. To be DANOS trained would be advantageous.
The post holder must have transport as the role will involve travelling to different youth work projects around the county. The post holder will have an excellent, engaging telephone manner and communication skills and will be prepared to commit to working some evenings and weekends when necessary.
The post holder will be qualified and have youth work experience within a variety of settings and must know young people and how to engage young people.

Requirements:

F0D8;You must have substantial experience in delivering youth work within a variety of settings in a
full time role
F0D8;You must be able to engage well with young people
You will ideally be DANOS trained
F0D8;You must have an engaging telephone manner and excellent communication skills
F0D8;You must have good listening skills.
F0D8;You must be prepared to work some evenings & weekends
F0D8;You must be able to work deadlines and be able to work in a pressurised, fast paced
environment
F0D8;You must be willing to undergo or have undergone an enhanced DBS check
F0D8;You must be a car driver with your own transport and business insurance
