Java, Python or Scala Developer/Programmer (Big Data Hadoop Machine Learning NoSQL Cloud AWS). Ground-breaking tech giant is seeking a talented Java, Python or Scala Developer with strong Big Data experience. You will join a talented agile team building a big data platform that is having fundamental implications for real world problems.

As a Java, Python or Scala Developer you will design and develop software components for distributed numerical computations, sharded databases, scalable web services and interfaces to external data sources and APIs. Building key data-centre infrastructure and APIs to support Front End services, you will utilise Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Storm, Mahout and Giraph. The tech is cutting edge and the scale of the systems and Real Time data processing (3 + billion transactions/day) make this one of the most exciting big data opportunities in London.

As the company continues to grow, there is potential to build a team around you. Based in the central London, this is an innovative, agile environment (2 week sprints) where you will work with the latest technologies and techniques to devise elegant solutions to truly big problems.

Requirements:

* Java, Python or Scala

* 2:1 degree or better in Computer Science or related degree from top University.

* Big Data technologies: Spark, Hive, Hadoop MapReduce, Storm, ElasticSearch.

* Desire to work in start-up culture (company now large, well established and extremely profitable.

* Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
