Our client is looking for a Marketing Assistant to join their international team. This is a broad role leading various marketing functions within a small but dynamic team of scientists and commercial professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on integrated marketing campaigns and gain valuable experience across multiple channels.

Duties include:
•Direct Marketing campaigns and database management
•In-shipment weekly direct mail initiatives (ensuring accurate stock, printing, contributing new ideas for improvement)
•Keep the marketing database up-to-date, importing new data, updating records and performing the necessary cross checks
•Prepare marketing statistics/campaign reporting
•Electronic filing as required
•Scientific Events and Congress support
•Research new industry events and manage the events calendar
•Prepare materials for planned meetings, liaising with Marketing Coordinator & Product Manager
•Manage logistics for the events
•Contribute to the project plan and preparation of checklists
•Prepare supporting materials (literature packs, lead scanners, in booth services etc.)
•Online and Email Marketing Planning and Implementation
•Manage email distribution list including new subscriptions, opt-outs and bounce backs
•Plan and implement e-mail marketing activities
•Upload marketing materials to website adding the necessary links
•Monitor website analytics and report back as required / provide assistance in maintaining Google Ads/ Google AdWords and SEO activities
•Literature and marketing materials (design) preparation and production
•Monitor stock levels in conjunction with the Marketing Coordinator, order stock and implement any amendments to the literature
•Assist in producing marketing materials (banners, brochures, merchandising)
•Handle deliveries, checking accuracy and quality of goods, co-ordinate the distribution of materials (for events, US office if necessary)
•Contribute ideas for new campaigns and supporting literature in conjunction with the Marketing Coordinator
•Manage UK snail mail projects, including the production of copy, ensuring accurate distribution list

Personal specification:
•1+ year experience in a marketing role or a Marketing/Advertising/Communications degree or similar (Life Science graduates will be considered)
•Good communication skills (including excellent written skills)
•Creative with a customer focused approach
•Excellent eye for detail
•Understanding of basic design principles (InDesign/Photoshop knowledge advantageous)
•Good analytical skills
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•Good telephone manner
