A fantastic career opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Operations Manager to join Selwyns Travel Limited, which is part of the wider RATPDEV UK group of companies. Based at our Runcorn Office, this is an opportunity for the right candidate to develop their skills within a busy traffic office and achieve further promotion within the Company/Group. You will be educated to degree standard or have had experience in a similar role. Reporting directly to the Operations Director you will be expected to demonstrate the ability and enthusiasm to learn and develop within the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Management Trainee you will initially work in a traffic office environment and report directly to the Operations Director; training will be given in the following aspects.

• Traffic Office administration incorporating vehicle utilisation.

• Sales Office – quoting and allocation of work maximising Company assets against market conditions.

• Engineering Dept. – General working knowledge of the Engineering Dept.

• Communication – ability to communicate to staff at all levels.

• Customer care.

• Compliance.

• EU Drivers Hours.

• Recruitment and retention of staff.

• Complaint and accident investigations.

• Workforce duty planning.

• Training – oversee of staff training.

The hours of work for this role are 40 hours minimum per week.

Basic starting salary is circa £18,000 p.a. with increments after successful completion of probation period and training.
