Support Worker

37.5 hours per week

Depaul UK is one of the UK’s leading national youth homelessness charities. We help over 3,000 young people each year who are homeless, vulnerable and disadvantaged.

·                       We protect young people by finding them a place to call home.

 

·                       We prevent young people becoming homeless by rebuilding family relationships

 

·                       We provide young people with opportunities to progress beyond homelessness and fulfill their potential.

This is an exciting, innovative and challenging new service focussing on helping young homeless people with multiple barriers to secure stable accommodation, meaningful employment and training/ education. The service will operate for three years in several local authorities in Greater Manchester and will deliver a range of support interventions across several local authority areas. The new team will have plenty of opportunities to work in new ways with partners on a service that is funded through payment by results.

The ideal candidate will have experience of:

·                       working in a safeguarding environment,

 

·                       leading a team,

 

·                       successful risk management,

 

·                       working in a payment by results environment

 

·                       and an understanding of the challenges facing young people in securing accommodation and sustainable education and training.
