Grade: CM03

This is a part time role - 18 Hours per Week over 3 Days including Saturday

Reports to: Branch Manager

Our client is a fantastic national brand who specialise in removals and storage, offering a full range of professional removals and storage services for home and business, within the UK and overseas. They are currently looking for a customer sales assistant, to join their team based in York.

Customer Sales Assistant - Job Purpose:

The Customer Sales Assistant is a self reliant individual who is capable of running a well organised, process driven branch. A high degree of flexibility and a conscientious approach is required and past experience of the removals and self store industry is highly desirable. The Customer Sales Assistant will posses and demonstrate a passion for delivering superior customer service and be motivated to deliver against set KPI’s. 

Customer Sales Assistant - Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying and developing self storage target markets under direction from the Branch Manager.
  • Manage internal systems inputting accurate information on to Navision & Space Manager.
  • Respond promptly to all customer enquiries and efficiently provide solutions to secure conversion in to sales.
  • Nurture and build on good business relationships with customers, offering a full range of customer support processes.
  • To ensure prompt and accurate production of written sales quotation, to include personalised sales letter and appropriate sales literature. Execute timely follow up of designated quotes.
  • Liaise with operations and the branch manager to ensure bookings are made and acceptance administration is completed.
  • Progress accurate verbal estimates as required, reflecting availability, customer requirements and the use of the local price tariffs as directed.
  • Carry out full post acceptance customer support, including move plan confirmation, customer briefing, invoicing, debt collection and post move customer debriefing.
  • Deal with customer complaints promptly and efficiently as they arise, in line with agreed company procedures.
  • Maintain and manage strict financial management (cash handling, banking and administration).

Customer Sales Assistant - KPI’s:

  • Effective management of all incoming calls and enquiries.
  • Accurate input on Space Manager and Navision.
  • Increase in enquiry base.
  • Conversion of enquiries to quotes.
  • Adherence to the 3 call process.
  • Cash management.
  • Customer queries and complaints managed.
  • Improvement to budgeted claims percentage.
  • Branch use again score 95%.
  • Branch service score of 8.7.

Customer Sales Assistant - Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Customer centric and team player.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Experience of self store and operational procedures.
  • Ability to work with others and share Best Practice.
  • Contribute to a can do environment.
  • Ability to deal with complaints and resolve problems.

Customer Sales Assistant - Personal Attributes:

It is essential that you are professionally presented and have a friendly and approachable personality. You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
