About the Role

With a fast growing business, comes an agile support function, that's where you come into things. You'll work as part of a Change Delivery Team in Brentwood which looks after E-commerce/web applications for our Direct and Broker market. More specifically, you'll be working on our home quote project, transferring Legacy infrastructure code from one system to another in order to enhance our service offering within our new home quote system. This means interfacing with web application Java and our Mainframe system called choice.

As a technical expert working within a successful and motivated team, you will be analysing user requirements and assisting in the build and design of IT solutions. You'll support systems using the full software development life cycle methodologies to meet the business needs. You will be making a significant contribution in delivering effective IT solutions as well as pro-actively seeking opportunities to improve business process.

About You

You will have an understanding of the software development life cycle and have experience in; a software framework ideally .NET, relational database, as well as web application software experience. Similarly you'll bring with you experience in programme language such as; C# as well as Object Oriented Design principles, Web Services, XML and XSD. If you have knowledge or experience of ASP.NET or MVC then even better! You will enjoy problem solving, analysing requirements and finding solutions; coding and amending complex changes while all the time ensuring work is delivered effectively and in accordance with agreed timescales. You're a natural when it comes to finding solutions and working proactively with business stakeholders and aggregators.
