When the world searches for billions of flights every day, our sites and services need to rank at the top. This will be your challenge in this key SEO Manager role - to put one of the world's most famous brands, and winner of Superbrands 2014, to number one across search engines globally.
As the SEO Manager you'll use your specialist knowledge of search engine optimisation (SEO), including a full awareness of market innovations, to achieve our direct revenue and acquisition targets. Focused on being best in class, you will develop and promote SEO principles that can be applied throughout the business. It's a chance to act as a consultant to multiple global stakeholders across the business, from IT to regional marketing teams to deliver the SEO roadmap.
You will define British Airways strategy for use of search engine optimisation as part of the global marketing plan. The SEO Manager will act as a technical consultant to multiple internal stakeholders to ensure all BA.com developments and activity adhere to best practice and our agreed global strategy. Working with BA.com content team to develop content strategy, to drive authority to and relevance on BA.com. All the time actively understanding the search marketplace and seek out new innovations, taking responsibility for testing new ideas and the development of internal capability that will drive channel optimisation
To be equal to the challenge, you will need a track record of success working as an SEO manager in an ecommerce environment, whether client or agency side. You will need in-depth understanding of the technical aspects of SEO including a strong knowledge of web technologies e.g. HTML, CSS, CMS etc. Hands-on experience of using major web tracking and analytical technologies is a must. With an ability to apply your project management skills to deliver agreed annual SEO roadmap.
