Our client is looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Fitter Assessor or a Welding Assessor to join their company.
To be considered for this role you must hold a TAQA, CAVA, A1 or D32 / D33 Assessing qualification.
You will need to be competent and experienced in Mechanical Fitting / Engineering or Welding / Fabrication with other engineering skills in order to assess the Apprenticeship learners successfully.
This role can be home and field based as you will be working on a variety of Army bases. You will be able to travel to and focus on the Army bases that are closest to where you live. Ideally candidates will be located within the Southern Counties or as there are a large number of bases near to each other.
Ideal locations for suitable candidates include Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and surrounding areas. Further afield will also be considered as the company operate UK wide.
The company is a provider of training services to the UK Ministry of Defence, other public sector organisations and private companies, both in the UK and overseas.
Responsibilities:
Support soldiers posted to Field Army in completing their Intermediate Apprenticeship in Engineering Manufacture or Welding / Fabrication including assessments and reviews
Ensuring the quality of the Army Apprenticeship
Carry out final review at Kent based training school
Liaise with Field Army Units via the Field Assessment Coordinator
Report to Coordinator progress of soldiers throughout their Apprenticeship programme
Update MIS systems accordingly, including Maytas and e-portfolios
Undertake Apprenticeship reviews on a regular basis
