The Company:

Our client is an established shared services company, who provides business administrative support to various different companies in the UK. Their aim is to reduce their client's costs by centralising back office functions that are used by multiple divisions within the business, to allow each division to focus its limited resources on activities that supports their clients' business goals.

As a Senior Infrastructure Analyst you will need to have the following experience:

Networking:

•Ability to test and prove point to point connectivity / communication
•Understanding of IPVPN / MPLS WAN networks and topology
•Configuration of Cisco routers, switches and VPN devices (PIX & VPN Concentrators)
•Ability to create working subnets and VLAN’s

Windows Environment:

•Windows 2003 / 2008 / 2012 server / advanced server build configuration
•Administering operating system software patches
•Windows 2003 / 2008 / 2012 server / enterprise build and configuration
•Windows AD 2003 / 2008 / 2012 administration and trouble shooting
•Policy and group management
•Development of AD Policies
•Microsoft Hyper-V setup and management
•Multi node clusters

Microsoft SQL 2005 / 2012:

•Maintain DB’s
•Maintain DB dumps and backups

Microsoft Exchange 2003 / 2013:

•Administration of connectors and mail stores
•Administration of mail delivery and connectivity
•Administration of mail gateway (including mail domain admin and communicating with external parties / message labs / domain name services)
•Blackberry / Bes server administration & setup

Backup:

•Experience using backup tape library / store to back up multiple systems
•Veritas / backupexec
•Configuring and troubleshooting backup jobs
•Configuring and organizing media groups
•Maintaining backup logs and schedules

Citrix:

•Presentation server 4.5 and XenApp setup and management
•Print policies
•Farm Policies
•Load balancing
•AD group policy integration
•Publish applications and restricted desktop

Hardware:

•Maintaining and monitoring hardware / branch infrastructure
•HP / Dell servers and peripherals
•UPS devices
•Cisco Switches
•Cabling communications room

The Senior Infrastructure Analyst Duties are:

•Reporting directly to Infrastructure manager
•Working closely with helpdesk and business to deliver services and to help resolve any issues
•Help plan and meet capacity requirements
•Travel as and when required to the server centre in Egham
•Travel as and when required to regional branches

Senior Infrastructure Analyst Qualifications:

University Degree in Relevant Discipline:

•Computer Science
•Information technology

Recognized Industry qualification:

•Microsoft
•Cisco
