Mae Action for Children-Gweithredu dros Blant yn gweithio mewn partneriaeth â Chyngor Sir Caerdydd i ddarparu Gwasanaeth Gwyliau Byr Preswyl yn Nhŷ Storrie i blant/pobl ifanc anabl rhwng 7 a 17 oed. Mae'r gwasanaeth yn rhoi hoe i rieni oddi wrth eu dyletswyddau gofal ac yn cynnig amgylchedd diogel ac ysgogol i'r plentyn/person ifanc.

Mae’r gwasanaeth hwn yn wasanaeth llawn amser a bydd staff yn gweithio fel rhan o dîm ar rota.

Bydd staff yn cael hyfforddiant ychwanegol i ymgymryd â’r rôl a bydd hyfforddiant ar gael i staff yn rheolaidd.

Gweithio ar sail rota sy’n cynnwys (dyletswyddau prynhawn, bore a chysgu i mewn)

Action for Children work in partnership with Cardiff County Council to provide Residential Short Break Service at Ty Storrie to disabled children/young people aged 7-17. The service allows families to have a break from their caring responsibility while providing a safe and stimulating environment for the child/young person.

The service is a full time service and staff will work as part of team on a rota basis.

Staff will be given additional training to undertake the role and regular training will be available to staff.

To work on a rota basis which includes (afternoon, morning and sleep-in duties)

Support Worker

£18,712 - £22,534 pa pro rata | Part-time, 17.5 hours per week

You’ll need to:

Provide support and opportunities to young people in a safe environment.

Plan and co-ordinate services to achieve the best outcomes for young people.

Provide a range of fun and stimulating activities.

Liaise with families, other agencies /organisations to ensure that the best needs of the young people are met.

Requirements:

Working with children, young people and families and achieving positive outcomes through support activities and intervention

An understanding of childcare legislation

Flexibility in work arrangements

NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

While you’re taking action for children, we’ll be taking action to make sure you’re fulfilled, with ongoing support and training opportunities.
