Financial Software Engineer - Cyprus

Our client - a Global Investment Management Company is seeking Financial Software Engineer to join their team based in Limassol, Cyprus.


Our client is a highly successful and fast expanding hedge fund. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing company that is focused on the development of the best research and trading infrastructure.


The Role
The successful candidate will join the team developing and managing the firm’s complex & high frequency trading system. He/she will also be involved in maintaining and operating the in-house electronic analysis and trading systems in after hours rotation. The role will involve close communication with traders, brokers and project management work.


The ideal candidate will have Excellent all round computing skills, mathematical ability, as well as project experience in meeting deadlines coupled with, preferably, an exposure to the finance industry. You will be involved in the complete development cycle.


You will have:

 Degree in science/computing/numerate/engineering field
 Strong working knowledge of .NET ( C# / VB.NET ), distribution and SQL.
 Able to work well under pressure and have proactive approach to implementing enhancements and process improvements whilst maintaining precision.
 Drive to learn and work well in a team as well as taking ownership on sub-projects.


The following skills will be an advantage:

 Knowledge of Reuters, Bloomberg and other data suppliers
 A good understanding of financial products and markets
 Knowledge of FIX protocol
 Experience within a high frequency trade support environment
 Working knowledge C++ / Java and Matlab or other mathematical modelling software.
