Power Plant Shift Supervisor / Operator


To both Operate and Maintain a Power Plant and to act as shift supervisor.


This position requires an experienced multi skilled mechanical plant fitter/technician to join our existing team of Plant Operatives. This hands-on role involves both daily operating and maintaining a Bio Fuel Combustion Plant, which generates 14W electricity.


The Plant includes HP steam raising boilers, steam turbine, water treatment plant and associated equipment such as pumps, valves and electric motor drives.


Any Allen Bradley plc, ABB controllers and inverters experience is preferable, but not essential. Experience of HV Switching (11Kv) and operating generator sets, in parallel with the National Grid.


Shift pattern is a variable 4 days on & 4 days off, 12 hour shifts, days and nights.

This role offers an intellectual challenge in successfully operating a plc. controlled process plant and Fluidised Bed Combustor, Waste Management Treatment and Power Generation.
