Purpose of Role

The focus of this role is to develop and deliver the traditional PR activities and the social content strategy for commercial direct across DL4B products and UKIBS.

It is also a reactive and executional role managing and responding to commentary and communications about our brand and products in the social channels working alongside the customer service team.

You will design and implement interaction best practice and will deliver reporting of PR coverage and social media community activities.

Key Accountabilities

Strategy, Planning & Execution:

Create and deliver the PR and social media strategy and content planning framework to deliver sustainable engagement with our online communities
Create, develop and distribute Press releases for publication across media channels to generate coverage, build brand awareness and position us as experts in business insurance
Identify the core content themes, stories and social currencies for proactive customer engagement and gather audience insights and data - working closely with product managers and content editor.
Own and develop social content calendar for each product and work with key stakeholders and external partners to plan, create and curate fresh, useful and interesting content for our online communities
Consolidate, coordinate and socialise all content generated in the business (Marketing campaigns, SEO, Customer Service)
Create new social content to bring our brands personality and creative route to life
Ensure all activities are measurable through the Connected response' model
Work closely with the web team to integrate all social content onto our web platforms
Manage customer interactions in social channels (LinkedIn, twitter, google+) with customer services team following defined processes and SLAs
Support the Head of Marketing to define and drive the strategic direction of PR and Social Media creating a clear direction and a robust implementation roadmap for each product
Advocate social media best practice and actively look to broaden internal understanding of social media by advising/training others when necessary Establish the most appropriate benchmarks and KPIs for measuring the impact of social media comms and provide regular reports and analysis of performance to senior stakeholders, providing insights and future recommendations
Capture learnings, curate best practices and apply them to social strategies and programmes to drive continuous improvement

Agency & Supplier management:

Manage all agencies and suppliers involved in the creation and delivery of content and in time bring these functions in house

Develop and maintain great strategic relationships with Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google

People management:

Work in a close Matrix team and with agency partners to deliver optimised activity
Excellent creative writing and a keen visual sense
Experienced at managing proactive and reactive PR activities
Expertise in digital content development
Expertise in publishing content via social media platform tools (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube) and social media management systems
In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, market trends, consumer behaviour and best practices
Integrated marketing mindset (offline and online, paid, owned and earned channels)
Detail oriented, ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities and balance short term needs with long term strategic initiatives
Good knowledge of SEO, online media, analytics, web technology, mobile
Expertise in using analytics tools (eg Facebook Insights etc) and developing meaningful measurement reports, analysis and actionable recommendations on next steps
