Operation Analyst Consultant
Quintec, a Thales owned business is recruiting an Operational Analyst to support internal and external facing customers through the provision of valued decision support and advice. The Operational Analyst works with the Operational Analyst Team Lead to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, providing up to date operational analysis development expertise using tools and methods such as problem structuring methodologies and cost modelling.
Quintec supports the development and delivery of a consulting-led, client focussed expansion into each of Thales' key markets - Defence, Security, Transport, Space and Aerospace.
The Operational Consultant is required to:
Provide up to date Operational Analysis development expertise as part of the Quintec Team
Contribute to Bids and Proposals
In collaboration with the Operational Analyst Team Lead and team members, develop business and win clients
In collaboration with the Operational Analysis Team Lead, develop the future pipeline of OA Consultancy opportunities
In collaboration with the Operational Analysis Team Lead and other Team Leads within Capability Optimisation, develop Quintec capabilities into holistic consulting product/service solutions to meet domain and specific client needs

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a personal high level and currency of Operational Analysis related knowledge and competency to meet the requirements of the post.
As a minimum, complete all client assignments to the measurable satisfaction of the customer and strive to achieve improvement
Write and/or support Bids and Proposals.
Identify potential business development opportunities
Contribute to the development of Operational Analysis related and wider offerings
Skills
Essential:
Experience of one or more of the following areas; Defence, Health Care, Logistics, IT, Communications, Security and Resilience, Energy, Space or Transport.
Desirable
Experience of tools such as Anylogic, Simul8, VBA, Vensim, Equity, Enterprise Architect, etc.
Project Management of Analysis projects
Experience of facilitating workshops
Broad knowledge of decision support and analysis methods, tools and techniques such as:
Simulation,
Cost modelling,
Problem-structuring methodologies
Decision Support
Performance Management
Information Management
Experience:
Essential
Experience in providing analytical consultancy to clients covering:
Written reports
Developing analytical models
Consultancy Advice
Experience in at least one of the following areas: Defence, Other Gov Departments, Space/Transport/Export Markets/Nuclear/Oil and Gas
Desirable:
Established network of contacts
Up-selling and cross-selling from within new and established accounts
Previous successful experience as a delivery consultant
Successful track record in leading Operational Analysis projects
Previous experience in business development

University Degree or equivalent qualification.
