We are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our team based in our Glasgow office. The Electronics Engineer will be responsible for detailed design of electronic assemblies, Support build, test and qualification of assemblies and data pack preparation for manufacture, test and validation. The Electronics Engineer will join our department within our Land and Air systems working on a variety of products such as Thermal Imaging and High resolution Cameras. This is an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Engineer with an Electronics Engineering Degree and experience with designing Digital and Analog systems, whereby you will be required to design and test a new Digital Video converter for our customers.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities
Architect electronic sub-systems
Partition requirements between sub-systems
Select, design and test solutions
Interface to PCB layout, mechanical, software and systems engineering
Experience Skills and Qualifications:
An MEng or BEng with further studies, in Electronics with modules in analog, digital, signal processing, firmware and software.
Solid experience designing electronic systems preferably in the military environment working as part of team or as a team leader.
Should have full design life cycle experience, taking a design from initial customer negotiations through requirements capture, system design, hardware design and test to final customer integration. Be aware of COTS and how to use and implement it in military environments.
Has experience in designing analog and digital video systems including interfaces with FPGAs and processors, and associated power supplies.
Knowledge of text and graphical design techniques for FPGA using VHDL, Verilog, and UVM would be an advantage.
Experience of Embedded OS, servos and signal processing and how they interface to software and systems teams would be also be an advantage.
