Job Title: European Sales Manager
Location: Witney, Oxfordshire

The role
As a European Sales Manager you will drive the sales of all business units in Europe and the UK. Your other responsibilities will include:
• Managing the European and UK sales teams and co-managing CE direct sales.
• Managing distributors and agents in the territory to increase sales revenue and increase market share.
• Developing sales budgets and managing the sales team to deliver the territory sales budget and objectives for all relevant product ranges.
• Developing and executing the territory sales strategies for all product ranges.
• Coordinating major commercial projects, tenders, proposals and quotations.
• Providing technical sales and product support, including product and application training, to sales personnel and distributors worldwide.
• Visiting offices, distributors, key accounts and OEM/end user customers as required.
• Reviewing pricing strategies and updating recommended price lists.
• Developing and implementing product strategies to achieve goals.
• Providing ongoing market feedback and details of trends and developments.
• Informing customers of new products and technologies relevant to their processes.
• Building cooperative working relationships and facilitating and coordinating the fulfilment and servicing of customers.

What you’ll need
• Proven track record of B2B strategic sales management and good commercial understanding.
• Technical background and/or aptitude, ideally within the plastics and packaging industry.
• People management experience.
• Proactive, self-motivated and achievement driven.
• Customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills to include professional credibility, networking, relationship building, negotiating and influencing.
• Effective analysis and decision making and strategic thinking skills.
• Organised, confident, self-disciplined, thorough and logical.
• The ability to speak another language would be advantageous, but not essential.
• Willingness to travel as required, primarily within the UK and Europe but globally when necessary.
