Customer Service / Hearingcare Advisor

Boots Hearingcare is one of the UK’s leading hearing care providers, operating from over 400 locations. The award winning business has an opportunity for an experienced Customer Service Advisor to join the established professional team in their hearingcare centre based in Bradford Hospital.

The successfully appointed Customer Service / Hearingcare Advisor will be an enthusiastic people friendly person, who is self-motivated with a determination to promote the highest level of customer service.

As a Customer Service / Hearingcare Advisor your duties will include but not limited to;

  • Assisting with enquires and appointments of NHS patients
  • Liaising with NHS staff and customers both face to face and over the telephone
  • Greeting and supporting people before their appointment
  • Making sure that the centre diary is busy with appropriate appointments 
  • Promoting hearing health checks
  • Taking payments
  • You will also assist the Audiologist to provide a first class after-care service for customers, to the level that everyone expects from Boots
  • Updating customer records on the computerised database

To be considered for this Customer Service / Hearingcare Advisor role you will have:

  • Proven professional experience gained within a face to face customer service role in a fast paced environment
  • Confident and approachable with strong communication skills and a helpful manner
  • Ability to be discreet and show the utmost respect for the privacy of customers
  • Superb organisation skills with ability to effectively prioritise work methodically and in a timely manner
  • Self-motivation with ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative where appropriate
  • Proficient IT skills with the capability to use computerised systems, including Microsoft Word and Outlook

Due to the nature of the business/environment a DBS (Data Barring Service) check will be undertaken with a satisfactory outcome required.

Contracted Hours:         Part time 16 hours per week

Hours of Work:             Thursday and Friday’s, 8.30am to 5.00pm  

Salary:                          £13,520 pro rata. Equating to £5,408.00 per annum (£6.50 per hour)
