Payroll Manager
We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Payroll Manager to join the Land Registry based in Nottingham. The place - Located in the city centre of Nottingham, the new canal side office provides a great setting for the Payroll Manager to work.

Land Registry employs over four thousand employees across 14 sites.
The job - As Payroll Manager you will ensure that the payroll is properly managed by the outsourcer, meeting all business, statutory and third party obligations. You will be the Land Registry expert on pay and income tax matters, advising the board, HR Policy and the wider business on all payroll legislative controls and their wider implications for the organisation. As well as the final point of escalation on payroll matters, as the Payroll Manager, you will work closely with the outsourced payroll provider to provide guidance on effective pay-related processes and expert input to projects involving the payroll. This will include being the expert lead on the pay aspects of design, specification and implementation of transfer to a future payroll/provider. As Land Registry implements its business strategy it is an exciting and busy time for all in the organisation and this role is crucial in ensuring payroll runs effectively every month.
The Requirements - In order to be successful in this role the Payroll Manager must be able to demonstrate the following knowledge and experience;
- Skilled as a payroll practitioner with sound knowledge of payroll functionality and controls.
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Good analytical, Excel and problem solving skills.
- You will have experience of managing or working with a third party payroll provider.
- Knowledge of SAP payroll systems, HMRC legislation, P11Ds and PSA benefits in kind.
