An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Engineer to support the Engineering and Integration design teams in their objectives to produce high quality deliverables. This Senior Project Engineer position will be based at BAE Systems' site in beautiful Barrow-In-Furness.

As a Senior Project Engineer your main responsibilities will involve:

• Processing project-related documents and data in accordance with procedures and produce output reports, typically to pre-defined formats and within regular business cycles.
• Collecting, collating, summarising and inputting information or data, carry out pre-defined analyses, and provide to others for use in decision-making.
• Providing assistance in ensuring that project-related records in assigned areas are complete, accurate and up-to-date.
• Assisting in monitoring project progress and identify emerging issues and trend.
• Handling straightforward problems or situations and refer more difficult or non-standard issues to roles at higher levels, ensuring resolution as quickly as possible.
• Prioritising own workload in order to meet deadlines without compromising quality standards, and check own work for accuracy and completeness.
• Using computerised systems to collect, summarise, analyse, input or extract data, maintaining own capabilities in use of software or programs, and ensure data is safely recorded and stored.
• Documenting and recording management.
• To be able to access, have a clear understanding of and apply the Quality and HS&E Management System documentation eg Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments etc. applicable to your particular work scope and to obey all HS&E rules and control measures.

As a Senior Project Engineer your skills and qualifications must include

• HNC/Certificate in project management or equivalent level of qualification
• IT Skills
• Communication (listening, written and verbal)
• Problem solving

As a Senior Project Engineer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

The ideal candidate will need to have an open mind in order to calmly try and identify solutions when challenges arise. You will ideally have a technical background with good facilitation and people skills
