This leading provider of education, training, consultancy and support services requires an experienced Quality Manager whose expertise has been gained within a work based learning organisation; excellent communication skills required whilst working with their internal and external clients and managing a team.
The post holder must have expertise in leading and implementing quality strategies, ensuring that Awarding Organisations, funders and OFSTED quality and audit requirements are met. This includes, planning, implementation, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of programmes for trainers/assessors, internal verifiers, and learners.
The post holder will be a member of the Qualifications Division management team and be responsible for advising interpretation of contractual, data capture and audit requirements identifying and implementing the changes required to increase the profitability and efficiency of the division.
Qualifications Required:
- Degree educated or equivalent
- A1 or equivalent would be advantageous
- LRQA or equivalent is desirable
- PRINCE2 or equivalent is desirable
Knowledge/Experience Required:
- Experienced manager
- Quality Management experience in the context of government funded contracts in the areas of learning skills and learning
- Expertise in SFA/EFA/ESF government funding for skills and learning contracts
- Experience of introducing/maintaining/achieving quality accreditations within the business
- Expertise in internal audit
- Expertise in the requirement of Ofsted in the context of both work-based learning programmes and NEET delivery programmes
- Ability to drive the business forward in terms of quality systems and continuous improvement.
- Risk Management knowledge.
- Experience of delivering through people not under direct control
- Experienced in safeguarding related activities
- Experience in leading on Equality and Diversity
- Financial awareness of government funding and its implications of non-compliance
Skills Required:
- Excellent people management and performance management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working with all staff at all levels within the organisation including both verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong persuasive skills and ability to influence.
- Enthusiastic and committed, with a high level of personal integrity, relishing new challenges
- Able to work to tight deadlines, prioritise and work under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills and problem solving ability.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team or under own initiative.
Permanent post
Working week: 36 hours a week
Annual Leave: 26 days plus bank holidays
Pension 10.5%
