An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Buyer - Transactional to join a FTSE100 Engineering company at one of their sites in Bournemouth. The successful candidate will report into the Shared Service Manager (buying) and will manage and undertake the transactional services relating to Procurement process.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and work with the team to process requisitions to Purchase Orders in line with contract Service Level Agreements.
  • Coordinate and undertake the setup and ongoing maintenance of supplier master files.
  • Production of reports to agreed schedules in the agreed formats
  • Review all requisitions and PO's for process compliance prior to release.
  • Ensure that all PO's comply with the authority limits prior to release.
  • Monitor and report non-conformances to the Procurement Manager to drive compliance to the P2P process, both retrospective ordering and spend via contracts.
  • Ensuring Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded.
  • Database management - ensuring the appropriate systems are updated in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring
  • Assist with the setting up of Category reviews
  • Coordinate and conduct supplier pre-qualification, manage the process through evaluators to its conclusion.
  • Coordinate and maintain stock profiles including compilation of results

Additional Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the resolution of issues raised by stakeholders and users of the service, escalating to the Procurement manager where appropriate.
  • Work on the company E-procurement system on nominated projects
  • Conduct and support sourcing activities
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the service.
  • Providing input to and support of internal and external audit requirements.

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience of working with the Purchase to Pay process.
  • Understanding of consignment stock systems
  • Ability to present and explain data clearly & concisely.
  • Ability to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved or surpassed
